Abstract:
We study two aspects of membrane protein trafficking: 1) The function
of dynamin, a GTPase required for receptor-mediated endocytosis and secutory vesicle
recycling, and its regulation by phosphorylation and phospholipid binding; 2) The role of
an actin-activated ATPase, myosin I b , in the lateral
translocation of proteins within the plasma membrane.
Our current focus is on the clustering of T cell receptors and associated
proteins during lymphocyte stimulation.
