RIC: Research Interest Comparator

The Research Interests Comparator (RIC) is our fourth electronic text mining project. The goal of the RIC system is to dramatically improve the ability of biomedical researchers to find information that is relevant to their areas of study, and to provide them with a single source for that information. The RIC system allows users to build a profile of their research interests, and then compares their research interests to MEDLINE abstracts. The user's profile then remains on our system, and the results are updated weekly with the latest MEDLINE publications allowing researchers to keep abreast of the very latest research. Our algorithm uses a global weighted keyword similarity comparison, which is continuously being refined. Natural Language Processing and Grammar Induction codes developed by Perot Systems Nederland will be added in the near future. We request your comments and criticisms so that we can improve the algorithm, features, user interface and value to you.

We invite you to add your profile today. Results are recalculated weekly, so bookmark us and check back periodically to find the latest research in your field!
