Your submitted paragraph:
Plasma lipoproteins and their receptors INSOLUBLE LIPIDS are transported in plasma as soluble lipoprotein particles that comprise a core of hydrophobic cholesteryl esters and triglyceride surrounded by a surface monolayer of amphipathic PHOSPHOLIPIDS with which free CHOLESTEROL and the apolipoproteins are associated. The apoproteins serve as cofactors for enzymes involved in metabolism of the lipid core and as recognition factors that allow both secretion and regulated uptake of lipoproteins. Lipoproteins are characterized by their density; this is determined by their size which dictates the relative amount of lipid and protein [1].
