Your submitted paragraph:
Idiotypes The unique structural features of the antigen-binding site of an antibody molecule, generated by the CDRs, may be antigenic within the same or heterologous species and result in the production of anti-idiotypic antibodies. The idiotype of an antibody molecule is the sum of all of the individual antigenic determinants (idiotopes) related to the binding site structure. The demonstration of anti-idiotypic responses within the same strain of ice and/or the production of auto anti-idiotypic responses led Niels Jerne to propose that immune regulation may be determined by a network of idiotype-anti-idiotype interactions.
